Virtual worlds that Sword Art Online fans are familiar with will collide in Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream when it launches on October 4th. Curious to see how characters from different SAO universes will team up? We invite you to join the Open Network Test for Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream, running from September 20 to September 22, and dive into the action before the full release! Players will get to test the multiplayer features, defeat iconic bosses, and earn transferable loot.

What is the Open Network Test?

The Open Network Test (ONT) is a way for our dev team to test the online multiplayer, but also offers players a sneak peek into the game’s multiplayer systems and character customization. It includes co-op quests, PvP, and boss raids, allowing players to:

  • Experience 9 playable characters: Choose from distinct roles, including Kirito (Fighter), Agil (Tank), Sinon (Ranger), and Leafa (Support).
  • Team up with up to 20 players for massive boss battles.
  • Provide feedback to fine-tune the final release.

During the ONT, you’ll get a chance to earn transferable loot, including elusive legendary equipment, and get a head start for the full game! Battle with up to 20 players, provide feedback, and prepare for your journey in the world of Sword Art Online Fractured Daydream before its official release. In addition, your participation will help the development team polish up the game for a smooth launch!

Legendary Loot from Boss Raids and Co-Op Quests

After completing a quest, players have a chance to score extra special drops. Items dropped have varying levels of rarity, ranging from common to legendary. Each rarity tier has increasing levels of beneficial stats. Note that the legendary items have a higher chance of having significantly stronger stat modifiers than their common counterparts, so obtaining one available during the ONT would give players a massive head start.

Fans of the Sword Art Online series will also recognize familiar bosses and get to battle them in game!

  •  The Skull Reaper: A deadly, multi-limbed adversary.
  • The Sword Golem: A colossal, armored titan wielding a massive sword.

Both will drop plenty of loot after defeat, giving players a chance to claim valuable gear!

Carry Over Your Loot

Players of the ONT will keep all the weapons and accessories earned from loot drops, including any legendary items, which will carry over to the full game!

Some elements of progress will not be transferable, including:

  • Tutorials, co-op quests, and raid status.
  • Passive skills, skins, costumes, decorations, and ranks.
  • Player cards, in-game currency, friends list, and block list.

Starting today, download the Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream Open Network Test on Xbox Series X|S and get ready for the live sessions between September 20-22 (depending on your region). Take advantage of earning loot early and prepare for the full game’s release on October 4 with your personalized gear already in hand!
