The trick is to go very slow as the solution goes down on the carpet and to go very slow as the extractor pulls out the cleaning water. The slow creeping motion is what gets the solution down nice and heavy to dissolve the dirt and the slow movement allows the machine to get all the fluid back out. The carpet is fully dry overnight.
