There was a powerful sense of inspiration and courage drawn from tales of strong, fearless girls like Pippi Longstocking, who sparked a feeling of boldness and possibility.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And now <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/unsplash.com\/photos\/a-book-shelf-filled-with-lots-of-books-REaYtNg4o6o\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">children\u2019s books<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> are on the rise again! They are among the best-selling books and their market value is estimated to be <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/wordsrated.com\/children-book-sales\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">13 Billion<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> dollar industry in 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While quantifying children\u2019s books may be necessary for evaluation, it fails to capture the significant influence that stories and their characters have on early development. Especially in Covid times Children\u2019s books were a place children and some adults could escape to feel less lonely.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today, we sit down with three authors to explore the evolving significance of storytelling for young audiences and its impact over time.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Guests<\/h2>\n<p><b>Chrysogonus Siddha Malilang<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chrysogonus Siddha Malilang is a senior lecturer at Malm\u00f6 universitet, Sweden and the current editor of <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bookbird<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. He is a researcher in children\u2019s literature and education as well as a creative writer and a translator.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>\u00cdrisz Ag\u00f3cs <\/b>is an<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> illustrator and author. After studying cultural anthropology and ethnography, she switched to illustration, especially enjoying children\u2019s illustrations and slightly grotesque themes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Liv Andrea Banner <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">is a Danish writer who grew up in Aarhus and recently completed a degree in creative writing and Irish literature in Sligo.
