It is self\u2010serving for them to advocate for policies that restrict emerging digital commerce opportunities for others, effectively holding smaller and less\u2010advantaged tribes hostage to their location.\u201d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span id=\"we_take_corporate_social_responsibility_seriously_says_vgw-2\">We take corporate social responsibility seriously, says VGW<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">VGW has pledged to be a \u201cresponsible corporate citizen\u201d, to set a gold standard for the industry on player protections, age verification, and compliance matters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Laurence Escalante, the Founder and CEO of VGW, who recently had a <a href=\"https:\/\/readwrite.com\/vgw-shareholders-approve-escalante-takeover\/\">takeover bid approved<\/a>, expressed the company\u2019s satisfaction on the partnership with KEDA, as well as welcoming the tribe\u2019s opposition to AB831.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In a statement, he said that: \u201cWe\u2019ve operated in North America for more than a decade, creating not only great games, user experiences and entertainment but ensuring this is done safely, responsibly and at the highest level of standards \u2013 in line with our core value of \u2018we do what\u2019s right\u2019.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cBut we acknowledge that as our business and innovative industry has grown, external interest in what we do has increased, including how we support and engage in the communities where we operate.
