<\/div>\nThe federal investigation into point shaving and game fixing in college basketball, led by the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania (EDPA), is moving toward indictments.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n There is said to be a focus on \u201cSouthern schools,\u201d but the probe has transcended multiple regions and competitions nationwide with a link to the gambling ring that enticed former NBA star, Jontay Porter<\/a>, who was banned for life last year due to betting-related violations.<\/span><\/p>\n A source close to the situation told Sports Illustrated<\/a> that \u201cThere are going to be charges.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s going to be national in scope.
