Designed to merge the best of banking, payments, and crypto into a single user experience, the Krak app is set to redefine how people move and manage value in Bitcoin and beyond.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p>\u201cWe built and launched the Krak app because the financial system has been stuck in the past, and we think it\u2019s time to do something about it,\u201d said Arjun Sethi, Kraken\u2019s co-CEO, in a press release sent to Bitcoin Magazine. \u201cWith Krak, we\u2019re taking a bold step toward rebuilding what we consider to be the most important layer of the global economy: How people move and use money.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Krak users can send instant peer-to-peer payments to over 110 countries with just a personalized Kraktag\u2014no bank details or wallet addresses needed. Users will be able to manage over 300 assets in one place. The app also offers up to 4.1% rewards on stablecoin USDG balances and up to 10% on digital assets, with no subscriptions or lockups required.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Looking ahead, Krak will introduce physical and virtual debit cards for seamless spending at merchants worldwide and expand into lending and credit tools. \u201cWe believe that basic financial services should be universally accessible, and that money should move as easily as information does,\u201d added Sethi. \u201cKrak is just the beginning.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Following its <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/news\/kraken-secures-mica-license-to-offer-bitcoin-and-crypto-in-europe\">MiCA license approval yesterday<\/a>, Kraken now has a clear path to expand its regulated Bitcoin services across all 30 European Economic Area (EEA) countries. The milestone positions Kraken to deepen its footprint in euro-denominated Bitcoin markets while rolling out products like Krak with full legal clarity across the region.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Kraken\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/bitcoinmagazine.com\/news\/kraken-partners-with-mastercard-to-bring-bitcoin-payments-to-over-150-million-merchants\">April partnership with Mastercard<\/a>, which enabled Bitcoin payments at over 150 million merchants, showcased the company\u2019s clear commitment to integrating Bitcoin into real-world commerce.
