The 1937 animated film,\u00a0Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs<\/em>, has been remade into an upcoming live-action film produced by Walt Disney Pictures. Snow White\u2019s story has been portrayed in live-action before by Lily Collins<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in 2012\u2019s\u00a0Mirror Mirror\u00a0<\/em>and by\u00a0Kristen Stewart<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in 2012\u2019s\u00a0Snow White and the Huntsman<\/em><\/a>. Those films also featured Snow\u2019s iconic antagonist, the Evil Queen, who will also appear in the upcoming film.<\/p>\n Snow White\u00a0<\/em>was actually Disney\u2019s first animated feature and is still so beloved by fans. This live-action film has been in the works since 2016, so there\u2019s a ton of hype for it \u2014 and major controversy. Disney made a major announcement about the live-action movie\u2019s release date in October 2023. Sorry, Snow White fans. The movie\u2019s big screen release has been delayed. HollywoodLife\u00a0<\/strong>has rounded up everything we know so far about the next Snow White<\/em>, including the cast, release date, and more.<\/p>\n Snow White<\/em>\u2018s release date has been set to March 21, 2025, according to Variety<\/em><\/a>. The movie was originally supposed to be released in theaters on March 22, 2024. Disney has not revealed when the movie will be available on Disney+, but it will likely be after the film\u2019s theatrical run.<\/p>\n After Rachel and Gal\u2019s casting was officially announced, production on the live-action remake kicked off in March 2022. Filming briefly paused when a fire damaged the production set<\/a> at Pinewood Studios in England. Gal confirmed<\/a> in April 2022 that she finished filming her scenes, which include musical numbers. Filming concluded in July 2022.<\/p>\n Rachel Zegler<\/strong> <\/a>is the lucky actress playing Snow White in the live-action adaptation. She made her onscreen debut in Steven Spielberg<\/b><\/a>\u2018s\u00a02021 remake of\u00a0West Side Story<\/em><\/a>. She\u2019s not going to be saved by the prince and she\u2019s not going to be dreaming about true love.
