The 50th anniversary of <\/span>Saturday Night Live<\/span><\/em><\/a> brought several Hollywood stars together in one room. Many attended to celebrate the comedy show\u2019s success, enjoying skits, performances, and plenty of laughs. With familiar faces like Miley Cyrus<\/strong><\/a>, Adam Sandler<\/strong><\/a>, Bad Bunny<\/strong><\/a>, and Jimmy Fallon<\/strong><\/a> in attendance, one notable absence had people wondering\u2014where was Bill Hader<\/strong><\/a>?<\/span><\/p>\n According to UNILAD<\/span><\/i><\/a><\/span>, the actor\u2019s publicist shared that he was unable to attend due to a \u201clongstanding schedule conflict.\u201d While Bill has a strong connection to <\/span>SNL<\/span>, he has also spoken about the anxiety he experienced during his time on the show.<\/span><\/p>\n Variety<\/span><\/em><\/a> reported that <\/span>SNL<\/span><\/em> producer Susan Morrison<\/strong> recalled how Lorne Michaels<\/strong><\/a> interacted with cast members under pressure. \u201c<\/span>To some, Michaels will bark, \u2018Don\u2019t fuck it up.’\u201d She added, \u201c<\/span>Bill Hader<\/span>, who is prone to anxiety attacks, remembers Michaels coming to his dressing room when he hosted and snapping, \u2018Calm the fuck down. Just have fun. Jesus Christ.\u2019 With others, he is warmer. Molly Shannon<\/strong><\/a> treasures the memory of how, when she was nervous just before going onstage, Michaels would \u2018reassure me with his eyes.’\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Bill previously opened up about his career and how he found success. At one point in his time in the spotlight, he admitted to having stage fright during an April 2023 interview with <\/span>The Independent<\/a><\/em>, \u201c<\/span>You know, you have to watch yourself on screen.\u201d He added, \u201cAnd that\u2019s no fun, just in general. I don\u2019t like the way I sound. I don\u2019t like the way I look. It\u2019s just embarrassing. But I\u2019ll be 45 in two months, so the weight thing is more of a health thing now. You go to a doctor and they say, \u2018At this age and height, you should weigh this.’\u201d Bill continued, <\/span>\u201cI wasn\u2019t used to seeing myself on screen \u2013 you go, \u2018God I look terrible,\u2019 so you start exercising and jogging and stuff. I still ate like s***, though. Now I have this autoimmune condition, too.
