Believe it or not, Saturday Night Live<\/em> has been on the air for five decades. From coining the most iconic lines in showbiz \u2014 such as \u201cI gotta have more cowbell\u201d and \u00a0\u201cCan I have your number?\u201d \u2014 to introducing hilariously memorable characters, like Marcello Hernandez<\/strong>\u2018s Domingo, viewers have been laughing along with each new cast of SNL<\/em> since 1975. This year, NBCUniversal is commemorating the show\u2019s 50th season with a program, which kicked off with the SNL50: The Homecoming Concert<\/em> on Valentine\u2019s Day! So, when is the actual SNL<\/em> 50th anniversary special?<\/p>\n

The SNL50: The Homecoming Concert<\/em> was held live from New York (of course!) at Radio City Music Hall. Several celebrity performers dazzled the stage, all of whom have been a musical guest on SNL<\/em> in the past.<\/p>\n

The SNL50<\/em> concert aired live on NBC and Peacock on Friday, February 14. Viewers can watch it again on Peacock.<\/p>\n

Almost all of Hollywood \u2014 and SNL<\/em> royalty \u2014 showed up for the event. Musical performances were even combined with comical sketches. Justin Timberlake<\/strong><\/a> couldn\u2019t accompany Andy Samberg<\/strong> for their \u201cD**k in a Box\u201d sketch, so Lady Gaga<\/strong><\/a> filled in and brought her own spin to it.<\/p>\n

The concert was packed with multiple musical performances from Gaga, Miley Cyrus<\/strong><\/a>, The B-52\u2019s, the Backstreet Boys, Nirvana and Post Malone<\/strong><\/a>, Jack White<\/strong><\/a> and more.<\/p>\n

After Gaga performed a rendition of \u201cD**k in a Box\u201d \u2014 gamely performing with a gift box strapped around her waist \u2014 she returned to the stage to sing the hit single from A Star Is Born:<\/em>\u00a0\u201cShallow.\u201d Bradley Cooper<\/strong><\/a> wasn\u2019t there to perform the duet, so Gaga flew solo.<\/p>\n

Post Malone accompanied the members of Nirvana to belt out their smash hit \u201cSmells Like Teen Spirit,\u201d and later, Jack White brought the house down by performing his song \u201cSeven Nation Army\u201d along with a cover of Neil Young<\/strong>\u2018s \u201cRockin\u2019 in the Free World.\u201d<\/p>\n
