The 38-year-old artist just released a new album, <\/span>Some Sexy Songs 4 U ($$$4U)<\/span>, amid the buzz surrounding him. The record, a collaboration with PARTYNEXTDOOR<\/strong><\/a>, has already sparked discussions among fans.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Forbes<\/span><\/i><\/a><\/span>, while Drake doesn\u2019t directly mention his feud with Kendrick Lamar, fans believe he subtly references it in his track <\/span>Gimme A Hug<\/span>, rapping,\u00a0\u201cF\u2014 a rap beef, I\u2019m tryna get the party lit.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The tension between the two artists has been ongoing for some time but gained renewed attention when Kendrick released <\/span>Not Like Us<\/span>, in which he raps, \u201cSay, Drake, I hear you like \u2019em young\/ You better not ever go to cell block one\/ To any b*tch that talk to him and they in love\/ Just make sure you hide your lil\u2019 sister from him.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Following the song\u2019s release, Drake sued his record label, Universal Music Group (UMG)\u2014which also happens to be Kendrick\u2019s label\u2014over its promotion of the track.\u00a0<\/span>According to <\/span>USA Today<\/span><\/a><\/em>, his legal team stated,\u00a0<\/span>\u201cUMG wants the public to believe that this is a fight between rappers, but this lawsuit is not brought against Kendrick Lamar.\u201d They further added, \u201cThis lawsuit reveals the human and business consequences to UMG\u2019s elevation of profits over the safety and well-being of its artists, and shines a light on the manipulation of artists and the public for corporate gain.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
