(Photo by Jaque Silva\/NurPhoto)\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/GettyImages-2189642775-e1739475681177.jpg?resize=384%2C216 384w, https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/GettyImages-2189642775-e1739475681177.jpg?resize=768%2C432 768w, https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/GettyImages-2189642775-e1739475681177.jpg?resize=1536%2C864 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 768px) 100vw, 670px\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"\/>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div><figcaption id=\"lead-image-credit\">Image Credit: NurPhoto via Getty Images<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><!-- .entry-media --><\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-2\">YouTube TV and Paramount are currently in negotiations, and things aren\u2019t looking too promising.<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-3\">In a <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.youtube\/inside-youtube\/youtube-tv-and-paramount-programming-update\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-analytics-trigger=\"article-body-link\">statement<\/a>, YouTube TV, owned by Alphabet, informed customers that it is \u201cworking hard to reach a fair agreement with Paramount to keep their channels,\u201d but acknowledged that, so far, talks have not been successful.<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-4\">\u201cParamount is an important partner for us and as you can imagine, this is not the outcome that we want,\u201d the company added. \u201cWe\u2019re still in active conversations with Paramount and are hopeful we can come to an agreement to keep their content available on YouTube TV.\u201d The deadline for a new carriage deal is 11 p.m. ET on Thursday, Feb. 13.<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-5\">Find out more below.<\/p>\n<h2>How Much Does YouTube TV Cost?<\/h2>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-6\">On January 13, the streaming service<a href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/feature\/youtube-tv-price-increase-cost-5353530\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-analytics-trigger=\"article-body-link\"> raised the cost of their basic plan<\/a> by $10, bringing it to $82.99.<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-7\">YouTube TV explained the price increase, citing rising costs, in a post on their <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/YouTubeTV\/status\/1867236661173612567\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-analytics-trigger=\"article-body-link\">X <\/a>account at the time.<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-9\">\u201cA message for our members: we have always worked to offer the content you love, with features to enjoy the best of live TV. To keep up with rising content costs, we\u2019re updating our monthly price to $82.99\/mo [sic],\u201d the company tweeted one month before its new price went into effect. \u201cWe don\u2019t make these decisions lightly, and we realize this has an impact on our members. We are committed to bringing you features that are changing the way we watch live TV, like unlimited DVR storage and multiview, and supporting YouTube TV\u2019s breadth of content and vast on-demand library of movies and shows.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>What Channels Would Be Dropped?<\/h2>\n<p class=\"gnt_ar_b_p\">Here\u2019s a list of Paramount channels that will be removed from YouTube TV as negotiations continue, including CBS News affiliates in select areas.
