It was important to have this discussion now to provide clarity and enable each of us the proper time to plan for our respective futures. We want to thank him for the leadership, passion, and dedication he brought to the organization and wish him success moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-5\">As Aaron figures out his next steps, both on and off the field, here\u2019s a look back at his romantic history.<\/p>\n<h2>Destiny Newton<\/h2>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-6\">Aaron\u2019s first big-time relationship as a famous athlete was with his childhood best friend-turned-lover, <strong>Destiny Newton<\/strong>. They dated for nearly three years, between 2014-2017, but not without some drama. She wanted a reunion to happen \u2014 which finally did take place on Aaron\u2019s birthday in Dec. 2018.<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-10\">After learning Aaron reunited with his parents, Olivia told <em>TMZ Sports<\/em>, \u201cOh my gosh, if that\u2019s true, that\u2019s amazing. NASCAR race car driver <a href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/celeb\/danica-patrick\/\" data-analytics-trigger=\"article-body-link\"><strong>Danica Patrick<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0confirmed that she was dating Aaron in Jan. 2018 and made their public debut as a couple at the Daytona 500 the next month. Just days after the football star was reportedly in a \u201clong-distance relationship\u201d with <em>Big Little Lies<\/em> star <a href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/celeb\/shailene-woodley\/\" data-analytics-trigger=\"article-body-link\"><strong>Shailene Woodley<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0he revealed he was \u201cengaged!\u201d While accepting his third MVP Award on the NFL Honors broadcast on Feb. 6, he reflected on the ups and downs of 2020, then saying, \u201cI got engaged.\u201d Toward the end of the speech, he said he wanted to \u201cthank his fianc\u00e9e\u201d but didn\u2019t name Shailene.
