To add more fuel to Kendrick Lamar<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s fire against Drake<\/strong><\/a>, K-Dot, brought out Serena Williams<\/strong><\/a>, who is Drake\u2019s ex, to dance during his infamous performance of \u201cNot Like Us,\u201d at the Super Bowl Halftime Show<\/a> on Sunday, February 9, 2025. In the song, Kendrick raps, \u201cBetter not speak on Serena,\u201d being that Drake has mentioned the tennis legend in his songs before. The bold move of featuring Serena at the widely watched show, has the hip hop and entertainment industry buzzing. Check out what happened between the two, below!<\/p>\n Drake and Serena dated sometime between 2011 and 2015<\/a>, according to multiple outlets, however, the length of their relationship is unknown.<\/p>\n A clip of Drake speaking on what his 2016 song, \u201cToo Good\u201d is about, resurfaced on X, and it features the rapper gets candid while confirming that it is in fact about the breakup between \u201cme and Serena.\u201d<\/p>\n He transparently shared: \u201cI get heavy on a couple joints, but this is more about me and Serena. It\u2019s funny because when I make songs about women, I also make songs for them. So, I know what kind of song to make. If I\u2019m gonna talk about them, I\u2019ll at least do them the justice of making them a song that they like. The lyrics in part are: \u201cI don\u2019t know how to talk to you\/ I just know I found myself getting lost with you\/ Lately you just make me work too hard for you\/ Got me on flights overseas, and I still can\u2019t get across to you.\u201d<\/p>\n The chorus continues: \u201cI\u2019m too good to you\/ I\u2019m way too good to you\/ You take my love for granted\/ I just don\u2019t understand it.\u201d<\/p>\n This isn\u2019t the first time that the rapper mentioned her in his songs.
