So, is the U.S. not accepting packages from China anymore?<\/p>\n The U.S. has reportedly ended a loophole that previously allowed packages worth $800 or less to be shipped to America without dealing with taxes or additional fees. However, it\u2019s still unclear how the USPS will handle the future of imports from China to America.<\/p>\n A tariff is a tax on goods that are imported from another country. In a Truth Social statement<\/a>, Trump confirmed that he has \u201cimplemented a 25 percent tariff on imports from Mexico and Canada (10 percent on Canadian energy), and a 10 percent additional tariff on China. This was done through the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) because of the major threat of illegal aliens and deadly drugs killing our Citizens, including fentanyl.
