To attend the Grammys or to not attend the Grammys? Looks like that wasn\u2019t even a question for Drake,<\/a><\/strong> because the rapper chose to once again, not attend the Grammys. Find out why below!<\/p>\n Drake, who is a 5-time Grammy award singer, was not at the 2025 Grammys, and he was also not nominated for any categories this year. Drake, who has had 55 nominations, has been boycotting the award show for several years now. In 2019, while accepting his Grammy for Best Rap Song for \u201cGod\u2019s Plan,\u201d he shared during his acceptance speech that: \u201c[Artists] play in an opinion-based sport, not a factual-based sport.\u201d He added: \u201cThe point is, you\u2019ve already won if you have people who are singing your songs word for word, if you\u2019re a hero in your hometown. Look, if there\u2019s people who have regular jobs who are coming out in the rain and snow, spending money to buy tickets to your shows, you don\u2019t need this right here. You already won,\u201d according to the Grammys\u2019 official website. <\/a><\/p>\n 2019 was the last time that Drake went to the Awards ceremony. In 2022, despite his nominations, he asked the recording academy to remove him. In 2023, he was once again nominated four 4 Grammys, however he didn\u2019t attend the show. He won in 5 categories, which were all specifically for his song \u201cNot Like Us,\u201d which is his diss track about Drake. In 2013, Kendrick began dissing Drake on Big Sean<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s song \u201cControl\u201d and then the same year, he also dissed him again during his performance on the BET Hip Hop Awards cypher. It didn\u2019t end there, in fact it continued 10 years later, when Kendrick dissed Drake a third time on\u00a0J.Cole<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s song \u201cFirst Person Shooter,\u201d and then he outed the rapper a fourth time on his feature on Metro Boomi<\/strong>n\u2019s \u201cLike That\u201d hit.<\/p>\n After staying quiet for years, Drake finally hit back with a diss tracks called \u201cPush Ups,\u201d and \u201cTaylor Made Freestyle.\u201d Kendrick in response dropped \u201cEuphoria,\u201d and \u201c6:16 in LA.\u201d Drake then put out \u201cFamily Matters,\u201d and Kendrick came back with \u201cMeet the Grahams,\u201d and \u201cNot Like Us,\u201d as reported by Page Six.<\/a><\/em> Drake then dropped \u201cThe Heart Pt.6.\u201d The cat and mouse game took place over an intense few weeks and it hasn\u2019t stopped. Fans are speculating that Kendrick will continue performing his main diss song \u201cNot Like Us,\u201d at the upcoming Super Bowl game, which will once again, add more fuel to the fire.<\/p>\n \n\t\t<\/div>\n\n
