One of Them Days<\/em> is in theaters, and fans of Keke Palmer<\/strong><\/a> and SZA<\/strong><\/a> are already in line for tickets. In an interview with Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>, Palmer dished on what initially drew her to the buddy comedy, produced by Insecure<\/em>\u2018s Issa Rae <\/strong>and directed by Lawrence Lamont<\/strong>. \u201cWhen I first read the script, you could tell it had weight but still had a levity and humanity to it, which I think is so important,\u201d the Nope<\/em><\/a> actress told the publication for the interview published on January 15. \u201cIt gave me that feeling that I had as a kid when I would watch those old nineties, 2000s comedies. You just see our culture, and you see friendship. It\u2019s one of my favorite movies that I\u2019ve done. Not every movie that you do is [one] that you\u2019d watch a lot. This I would. It\u2019s like, \u2018Put that sh** on real quick!\u2019 You get into it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Critics agree. Via Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, the flick currently has a 97% approval rating \u2014 a rare feat for a comedy. Los Angeles Times<\/em><\/a> film critic Amy Nicholson<\/strong> calls the L.A.-based comedy a \u201ctreat to be gobbled up like pancakes at midnight.\u201d<\/p>\n
