Rep. Jasmine Crockett<\/strong> (D-Texas) called out Rep. Nancy Mace<\/strong> during a debate about transgender rights and civil rights on Tuesday, January 14. A war of words erupted and escalated at the House hearing, with Mace ultimately suggested the duo should \u201ctake it outside.\u201d Footage of the encounter<\/a> quickly spread via social media.<\/p>\n \u201cI can see that somebody\u2019s campaign coffers really are struggling right now,\u201d said Crockett in her critique of Mace\u2019s rhetoric. \u201cSo [Mace] is gonna keep saying \u2018trans, trans, trans, trans\u2019 so that people will feel threatened, and child, listen \u2014\u201d At this point, Mace interrupted with, \u201cI am no child, do not call me a child, I am no child,\u201d adding, \u201cIf you want to take it outside, we can do that.\u201d Per HuffPost<\/em><\/a>, she later clarified that she meant to suggest they \u201ctake the conversation off the floor to have a more constructive\u201d talk.<\/p>\n So who is Jasmine Crockett? According to the St. Louis American<\/em><\/a>, she attended Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School and Rosati-Kain, all-girls Catholic high school.
