Richard Sherman knows Pete Carroll better than most. The former Seattle Seahawks cornerback and Carroll went to back-to-back Super Bowls in 2013 and 2014. To this day, Carroll holds the lone Super Bowl win in franchise history.<\/p>\n
On Thursday’s edition of “Up and Adams,” Sherman endorsed Carroll to fix everything wrong with the Bears, including one sticking point he believes isn’t considered enough.<\/p>\n

All the pieces are there for him to be really successful.”<\/p>\n Of course, one may argue with the Seahawks winning ten games under rookie head coach Mike Macdonald this season, Carroll’s exit far from tanked the organization. As such, one may wonder about his effect on the Bears should he arrive in the Windy City.<\/p>\n The potential head coach would have a lot on his plate and not much time to pull it off. On top of his initial duties, he will need to change the culture in the building and change everything else he sees out of line about the organization from top to bottom to elevate the team as he did with the Seattle Seahawks<\/a>.<\/p>\n If he were to get hired in January, he would then need to hire an offensive and defensive coordinator. Then, he would need to hire additional position coaches.<\/p>\n Following that, Pete Carroll would need to figure out and communicate his recommendations for the NFL draft to general manager Ryan Poles. After that, he will need to work through OTAs and set up plans for training camp.<\/p>\n After getting all that done, Carroll would need to figure out how to get through to the players in orchestrating change. At the same time, he would need to figure out what works about Caleb Williams<\/a> and what does not. Then, he can get to work on the scheme for the 2025 season.<\/p>\n The scheme could be his greatest contribution to the team and potentially their biggest hope for quickly defeating the Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings<\/a> and Green Bay Packers in the division race.<\/p>\n Put simply, if hired, it will be a jam-packed handful of months for Carroll before even getting into a position to institute tangential plans for the 2025-26 season.
