According to\u00a0Marca<\/i><\/a>, the NFL stated:\u00a0\u201cThe NFL and the local host committee have been working in collaboration with local, state and federal agencies over the past two years and have developed comprehensive security plans. These planning sessions will continue as they do with all major NFL events and we are confident that attendees will have a safe and enjoyable experience at the Super Bowl.\u201d<\/p>\n

They added, \u201cWe are deeply saddened by the news of the devastating incident in New Orleans. Our thoughts are with the victims, the New Orleans community and all those affected.\u201d<\/p>\n

My name\u2019s Kendrick Lamar, and I\u2019ll be performing at Super Bowl LIX. Will you be pulling up? I hope so. You know there\u2019s only one opportunity to win a championship. He later followed up by sharing a statement to Variety<\/em><\/a>, noting that rap music \u201cis still the most impactful genre to date\u201d and that he\u2019ll be performing \u201cto remind the world why.\u201d<\/p>\n
