In regions with the heaviest snowfall, the NWS warns that this could be the \u201cworst snowfall in at least a decade.\u201d<\/p>\n Travelers are urged to keep an emergency kit in their vehicles, including essentials like a flashlight, food, and water. Drivers should be prepared for sudden visibility changes, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, and allow extra time to reach their destinations. Ensuring vehicles are winterized and in good working condition is strongly advised.<\/p>\n For areas with ice accumulation, the NWS suggests carrying a winter storm kit, which should include items like tire chains, booster cables, a flashlight, a shovel, blankets, and extra clothing.
