RuPaul\u2019s Drag Race<\/em> <\/a>has become a staple in American entertainment. \u00a0RuPaul Charles<\/strong><\/a> has been hosting the competition for 16 seasons now, and it features a flamboyant assortment of drag queens competing for cosmetics, cash, and of course, notoriety (this is Hollywood, after all.) The stakes are high \u2014 the winner will become America\u2019s Next Drag Superstar.<\/p>\n

And the series has staying power \u2014 now on its 17th season, the show stars 14 new drag queens and features judges Carson Kressly<\/strong>, Ts Madison<\/strong>, Michelle Visage<\/strong>, and Ross Mathews<\/strong>. A gaggle of high-profile guest judges will also make appearances, including Adam Lambert<\/strong><\/a>, Law Roach<\/strong>, Whitney Cummings<\/strong>, Betsey Johnson<\/strong>, Quinta Brunson<\/strong>, Sandra Bernhard<\/strong>, Tracee Ellis Ross<\/strong><\/a>, and Sam Smith<\/strong><\/a>, among others.<\/p>\n

Katy Perry<\/strong><\/a>, who once famously gave credit for her career to drag queens, served as guest judge on the show\u2019s season premiere on January 3. \u201cIf it weren\u2019t for drag queens, I probably wouldn\u2019t have a career,\u201d the Firework<\/em> singer\u00a0told Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a> in 2022. \u201cI probably learned everything from them.\u201d<\/p>\n
