See also Caesars Rewards, MGM Rewards, Wynn Rewards, Boyd Rewards, Grazie Rewards, Genting Rewards, True Rewards, Wow Rewards, Fontainebleau Rewards, et. al.

Treasure Island claims the Treasury Players Club gives members points “faster than any other casino competitor, with points accruing after every $1.50 wagered on slots and $4.50 on video poker.”

On many pirate vessels, smoking was restricted to outside spaces. Conclusion: Pirates were more civilized than we are today.

The refreshed loyalty club, previously the TI Players Club, is described thusly in the news release about the switch to Treasury Players Club: “In addition to collecting rewards from earned points, members of Treasury Players Club will have access to perks like complimentary or reduced room rates with optional resort fee, free shows and dining, exclusive members-only events and promotions, special invitations to giveaways, tournaments and concerts.”

Perks are what make Vegas work.

You gamble, casinos give you something back for your loyalty.

TI is talking some talk about its benefits, but how do they stack up against other popular casino players clubs? Well, TI has provided a handy benefits comparison chart on its official Web site.

Are we the only one who thinks if you turn the TI logo on its side, it looks like a bris is in progress?

Warning: The official TI loyalty club page is a little awkward because it has images saying the program was a “Nominee” for the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s “Best of Las Vegas Awards.” Why is it awkward? Because to be nominated for one of these awards you literally just ask to be nominated. Touting that achievement as some sort of selling point is thirsty AF.

Why do loyalty programs differentiate between slots and video poker? Because video poker has a lower hold than slots. That’s why we play video poker, despite the fact it’s so boring we sometimes want to claw our eyes out.

TI also has something called “Treasure Chest Points,” which players accumulate in addition to the usual loyalty club points. Treasure Chest Points can be used for merchandise or can be converted into free play.

Probably.

We are not a casino loyalty club expert. We actually aren’t even proficient at the basics of loyalty clubs, as evidenced by the fact we have been playing at Circa downtown since it opened and while we often got dining credits and free play, we didn’t know one also accumulates “points” that can be used at restaurants and such. We went into the gift shop to get some cookies at one point and were informed we had close to $2,000 in points to spend. What part of “We are not a casino loyalty club expert” didn’t you get?

The story has a very happy ending as we used our points to buy gift shop employees anything they wanted, and we still have close to $2,000 in points to spend.

Which means we gamble too much, but that’s not really the point of the story. Make sure to learn more about your loyalty clubs! There may be perks you didn’t realize you have. Remember, loyalty club benefits are the result of your gambling, sort of a “rebate,” so take advantage of whatever’s being offered. Which, at locals casinos, means “free” gravy boats and BBQ utensils and pies on Thanksgiving.

Anyway, if you are an existing member of TI’s loyalty club, you’re already moved over to the new Treasury Players Club. All existing points and rewards will roll over.

If you’d like some ideas for ways to use your old casino loyalty club card, we’ve got you.

If you want to learn more about loyalty clubs and such, there are lots of resources online, including from our friends at Travel Zork.

Should you play at a given casino based upon the loyalty club? Not really. Play where you like to play, loyalty clubs are frosting on the cake.

Should you make sure to join the casino’s loyalty club wherever you’re playing? Definitely. Don’t leave freebies on the table. Always make sure your loyalty club card is in the machine. (No, the results don’t change based upon whether you’re using a card or not. That’s what’s known in the casino industry as “hooey.”)

If possible, should you concentrate your play at casinos in the same loyalty club family? Absolutely. Benefits increase as you move up in players club tier.

When we don’t know how to end a blog post, do we just start asking and answering questions? You bet.

[ad_2]

Source link

[ad_1] By Scott Roeben, on January 02 2025 Treasure Island (TI) has rolled out a “new” player loyalty program called Treasury Players Club.
