They achieved this remarkable feat in the quarterfinals of the Senior Women&#8217;s One Day Trophy on Monday, December 23, at Niranjan Shah Stadium Ground C, Rajkot.<\/p>\n<p>Chasing a daunting target of 390, Bengal openers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/player\/dhara-gujjar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Dhara Gujjar<\/a> and Sasthi Mondal put on a blistering 100-run partnership in just 55 balls. Gujjar scored 69 off 49 balls while Mondal contributed 52 off 29 balls. Mita Paul had a quiet outing, dismissed for just 12 off 12 balls by Sheetal Rana.<\/p>\n<p><template id=\"also-read-articles-template\"><\/p>\n<p><\/template><\/p>\n<p>However, Tanusree Sarkar and Priyanka Bala took charge, combining for a superb 111-run partnership off 97 balls. Sarkar played a stunning knock, scoring 113 off 83 balls, including 20 boundaries. Prativa Rana chipped in with 28 off 26 balls.<\/p>\n<p>Priyanka remained unbeaten, guiding Bengal home with a match-winning 88 off 81 balls, including eight boundaries and one six. Bengal won by five wickets with five balls to spare, setting a new record for the highest successful run chase in Women\u2019s List A cricket.<\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<h2>Shafali Verma&#8217;s knock of 197 runs goes in vain<\/h2>\n<p>Bengal Women won the toss and opted to bowl. Haryana&#8217;s opening pair of captain <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportskeeda.com\/player\/shafali-verma\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-is-sponsored=\"false\">Shafali Verma<\/a> and Reema Sisodia played brilliantly, putting on an impressive 173-run partnership off 140 balls. Tanusree Sarkar claimed Bengal&#8217;s first breakthrough, dismissing Reema for 58 off 72 balls.<\/p>\n<p>Deeya Yadav had a challenging outing, scoring just seven runs. However, at the other end, out-of-favor Indian opener Shafali Verma took control. <\/p>\n<p>The 20-year-old narrowly missed a well-deserved double century, falling just three runs short. She scored a magnificent 197 off 115 balls, including 22 fours and 11 sixes. <\/p>\n<p>Triveni Vasistha contributed 46 off 55 balls while Soniya Mendhiya added 61 off 41 balls. Haryana finished their innings at 389-5 in 50 overs.
