Days with snow covering the ground are set to become less common across much of the continental US due to climate change. If greenhouse gas emissions continue as usual, by the end of the century, days with deep snow are projected to disappear almost everywhere except high mountain regions.<\/p>\n

Once-snowy areas have already started transforming. \u201cWe see places like New Hampshire turning into places like New Jersey, which is a bit hard to swallow,\u201d says Elizabeth Burakowsi<\/a> at the University of New Hampshire.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
