It\u2019s that time of day again \u2014 to solve the daily \u201cWordle!\u201d The widely popular and addicting New York Times<\/em> game invites everyone to solve the five-letter word each day. Fortunately, we have the answer to today\u2019s puzzle, but let\u2019s start with a few hints first.<\/p>\n

Software engineer Josh Wardle<\/strong> is the mastermind behind the word game. A prototype for \u201cWordle\u201d was developed in 2013, but Josh didn\u2019t develop his idea until the COVID-19 pandemic. After introducing the game to family and friends, Josh sold \u201cWordle\u201d to The New York Times<\/em>, which he said was a \u201cclear decision\u201d during a 2024 presentation, according to The Verge<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think this took a lot of people by surprise,\u201d Josh explained, referring to his choice to sell the game. \u201cIt was a very clear decision for me to make to sell the game. I didn\u2019t want to run a games business. I\u2019m interested in creating things.\u201d<\/p>\n

Josh pointed out that it was \u201cobvious\u201d to him that the success from \u201cWordle\u201d would help him \u201cmake [his] life if [he] wanted to.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut there are a bunch of things that I wouldn\u2019t enjoy about running a games business,\u201d the innovator admitted. \u201cAnd it just felt so clear to me that that wasn\u2019t something I wanted any part of. \u2026\u00a0I was trying to do something that was authentic to me. I was trying to build something for someone that I loved. It just so happened a bunch of other people loved it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since Josh knows a thing or two about inventions, he advised others not to \u201ctry to make \u2018Wordle.\u2019\u00a0Make the thing that you\u2019re passionate about that is meaningful to you. And then everything else will follow from that.\u201d<\/p>\n
