Grammy-nominated singer Jordin Sparks<\/strong><\/a>, 34, shot into fame when she won American Idol<\/em> <\/a>in 2006. She took advantage of her newfound fame with two albums, released in 2007 and 2009. Her self-titled album included her hit singles \u201cTattoo\u201d and \u201cNo Air\u201d, the second of which featured Chris Brown<\/strong><\/a> and reached the No. 3 spot on the Billboard Hot 100, per All Music<\/em><\/a>. She then took a hiatus from the spotlight and didn\u2019t release music until 2015\u2019s studio LP, Right Here Right Now.<\/em><\/p>\n

Shortly after she released Right Here Right Now,\u00a0<\/em>Jordin met the love of her life: Dana Isaiah<\/strong>. The pair walked down the aisle in 2017 and then welcomed a son, Dana Isaiah Thomas Jr<\/strong>., the following year. Jordin has spent the entirety of their marriage gushing over their special bond, so who is the man who stole her heart? Read on to meet Dana Isaiah.<\/p>\n

Dana Isaiah Is A Man Of Many Talents<\/h2>\n

Dana Isaiah, born in Chicago in 1992, is a model and entrepreneur who helps manage Jordin, according to his Instagram bio<\/a>. He also has a connection to the NFT group, Baby Ape Social Club, as he has it advertised in his Instagram bio as well. The Social Club is \u201ca limited-time collection of 5,000 Baby Ape NFTs\u201d that \u201creside on Dab Island, which is in the heart of the Bermuda Triangle situated in the blockchain\u201d, according to Flaunt<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dana is also a writer behind the religious book A Higher Calling: Claiming God\u2019s Best for Your Life<\/em>. The 2018 book, according to its publisher, HarperCollins Publishers<\/a>, \u201ctakes an honest, practical look at growing your faith\u201d through self-empowerment practices and devotions.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wrote these devotions because these are issues I can personally address,\u201d he noted to The Christian Post<\/em><\/a>. \u201cIf you have someone my age who is open about their mistakes and willing to admit where they\u2019ve messed up, others will listen. Mistakes are going to happen; they\u2019re inevitable. But, I want young people to know that they are not defined by their mistakes, and they can start over at any point.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n

Dana grew up in a <\/span>religious household. While Dana was born in Chicago, he was raised in Missouri, where his parents ran a Christian camp that \u201cspecialized in sports and sharing the Gospel\u201d, per HarperCollins. The talented model went on to play basketball at Florida\u2019s Southeastern University, which is where HarperCollins said his affinity for writing developed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dana Had Jordin In Love At First Sight<\/h2>\n

Jordin revealed on Today<\/em> <\/a>in 2020 that she did not expect to have such a deep connection with Dana when they first met remotely through mutual friends. \u201cWe just connected on a deep platonic level when we first started talking. We weren\u2019t even interested in looking for a relationship, so we had made that clear to each other,\u201d she recalled.<\/p>\n

However, all that changed when Dana knocked on her door. \u201cHe came to LA and I was like, let\u2019s meet up,\u201d she continued. \u201cWhen I opened my door, I looked at him and I went \u2026 (gasp!) \u2026 \u2018Oh, no!\u2019\u201d She added, \u201cI knew (love at first sight) was possible, but I didn\u2019t think it was going to happen to me. But that was literally what it was. I knew the second day that we hung out, that that was the man I was going to spend the rest of my life with. He didn\u2019t know that, and I didn\u2019t tell him that, but I knew.\u201d How sweet!<\/p>\n

Jordin And Dana Eloped In Hawaii<\/h2>\n

Jordin and Dana eloped<\/a> in Hawaii on July 16, 2017, but they did not reveal their union until November of that year. The pair were on a trip to the remote paradise with friends and decided it was the perfect chance to get married. \u201cWe hadn\u2019t had a set plan or anything. We were like, \u2018If it happens, it happens. If it doesn\u2019t, that\u2019s okay too,\u2019\u201d she told PEOPLE<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

She continued on to say that she noticed paparazzi taking photos of her and Dana, which is what sparked the idea to get married<\/a>. \u201cWe all get in the water and we\u2019re having a good time,\u201d she recalled. The multi-platinum singer said she then asked her best friend Morgan, who \u201chad gotten ordained before the trip\u201d, to marry them.<\/p>\n

Dana Loves Jordan For Everything She Is<\/h2>\n

Jordin gushed about the unique love she gets from Dana while on The Real<\/em><\/a> in Jan. 2022. \u201cI married Dana for multiple reasons. Obviously, I love him so much, but he was the first man to actually see me. He saw me, for Jordan, and who I am and all the things that I love and all my quirks and all my weird things and all my spilled drinks and all the things,\u201d the \u201cOne Step At A Time\u201d hitmaker gushed.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was the first person to see me and not have any preconceived notions about who I was,\u201d she continued. \u201cIt was amazing because once we started talking, he got to know who I was, and I got to know him outside of this. It was just really incredible. He made me feel safe. He made me feel happy and comfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n

When Jordin and Dana\u2019s son was born in 2018, the model and manager described the emotions he felt after becoming a parent for the first time. \u201cIt was just that realizing moment, that everything you had been preparing for was here in your hands,\u201d he recalled to PEOPLE<\/em><\/a>. \u201cEvery emotion that you felt throughout the entire pregnancy from start to beginning just \u2018Bam,\u2019 and it hits you.\u201d<\/p>\n
