Jill Jacobson<\/strong>, who was best known for projects such as\u00a0Star Trek: The Next Generation<\/em><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Star Trek: Deep Space Nine<\/em>, passed away<\/a> at Culver West Health Center in Culver City, California, on December 8, 2024, according to multiple reports.\u00a0She was 70 years old.<\/p>\n

Jacobson\u2019s manager, Ben Padua<\/strong>, also confirmed the news of her death to Entertainment Weekly<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>telling the outlet: \u201cWe are incredibly sad to say goodbye to our beautiful, soulful, hysterically funny, elegantly raunchy client, Jill Jacobson.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Jacobson disclosed that she had been battling a form of cancer, though she chose to keep the diagnosis private.<\/p>\n

Was Jacobson\u2019s Health in Decline?<\/h2>\n

In September 2024, Jacobson unveiled the \u201csecret\u201d she had been hiding for years \u2014 her battle with esophageal cancer. The late actress explained her health issue during an appearance on\u00a0The Jim Masters Show<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a secret. Kind of took me out of the game for a while,\u201d Jacobson began. \u201cIt was esophageal cancer. It took like two, two and a half years of treatment.\u201d<\/p>\n

While adding that her experience \u201cwas pretty intense,\u201d Jacobson also described how it felt living with the illness.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can\u2019t function, you just can\u2019t function,\u201d the\u00a0Falcon Crest<\/em>\u00a0alum said. \u201cAnd now I\u2019m so grateful, I just want to keep going, I want to help people. It makes you want to help people.\u201d<\/p>\n

Was Jacobson Married?<\/h2>\n

Jacobson was once married to Murphy Brown<\/em> co-star Paul Dorman<\/strong>, though it appears they later divorced. The couple married in 2001.<\/p>\n

According to Trellis Law, Jacobson filed for divorce\/separation in 2014 in Los Angeles, citing \u201cdissolution without minor children.\u201d<\/p>\n
