After the Amazing Spider-Man 2<\/em> star asked the customers to stop, one person threw a glass at Jamie\u2019s face.<\/p>\n A spokesperson for Jamie told PEOPLE<\/em><\/a> that he \u201cwas at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth.\u201d As a result, Jamie \u201chad to get stitches and is recovering.\u201d The rep added that police \u201cwere called, and the matter is now in law enforcement\u2019s hands.\u201d<\/p>\n The Beverly Hills Police Department issued a statement explaining what happened at the restaurant. According to the news release obtained by PEOPLE<\/em>, authorities were called at around 10 p.m. local time.<\/p>\n \u201cUpon investigation, officers determined that the reported assault with a deadly weapon was unfounded,\u201d police said. \u201cInstead, the incident involved a physical altercation between parties. \u2026 The BHPD conducted a preliminary investigation and completed a report documenting the battery. No arrests were made.\u201d<\/p>\n Jamie appears to be in good condition following the reported attack. Per his spokesperson, he had to get stitches on his face.<\/p>\n The comedian shared a message to his Instagram<\/a> account, thanking fans for their support.<\/p>\n \u201cThe devil is a lie.
