It turned out that Meta went through a widespread outage<\/a> later that morning and afternoon. For hours, businesses, influencers and other users wondered when the apps would be back up.<\/p>\n Meta shared a statement via X that day, tweeting that the company was \u201caware that a technical issue is impacting some users\u2019 ability to access our apps.\u201d Meta added, \u201cWe\u2019re working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and apologize for any inconvenience.\u201d<\/p>\n Instagram also issued a statement via X acknowledging the issue.<\/p>\n In its official X statement, Meta noted that it was experiencing a \u201ctechnical issue\u201d that was \u201cimpacting some users\u2019 ability to access our apps,\u201d including Facebook. The company did not specify what the issue was.<\/p>\n In true Instagram fashion, the platform\u2019s X account included the hashtag \u201cinstagramdown\u201d in its acknowledgement of the problem.
