Barry Played the Joker<\/h2>\n

Barry shows up in The Batman<\/em> towards the end of the film in a short but memorable scene<\/a>. He\u2019s credited as \u201cUnseen Arkham Prisoner\u201d in the cast listing, but it\u2019s clear that he\u2019s playing The Joker. In the scene, Barry begins talking with Riddler after he\u2019s thrown in Arkham. \u201cOne day you\u2019re on top, the next day you\u2019re a clown,\u201d Barry says. You never get a full glimpse of his face, but you do see that it\u2019s scarred. The scene ends with Barry laughing Joker-style with Riddler joining in.<\/p>\n

Director Matt Reeves<\/strong> confirmed that Barry is a \u201cproto-Joker\u201d in his recent interview with IGN<\/em><\/a>. He added that all the characters are \u201cin their infancy\u201d and \u201cwe have a Joker who\u2019s not yet The Joker.\u201d If there\u2019s a sequel, it looks like this scene was a set-up for Joker vs. Batman.<\/p>\n

Barry is From Ireland<\/h2>\n

Barry grew up in\u00a0Summerhill, Dublin, Ireland. He spent years in foster homes along with his brother. His mother was a heroin addict who died when he was 12. Between the ages of 5 and 12, Barry went to 13 foster homes.<\/p>\n

During an interview with Off the Ball<\/em><\/a>, the actor said he likes to do \u201cas much boxing as I can.\u201d He incorporated his love of boxing into his Eternals workout routine. He noted that it\u2019s not just important \u201cto look good but to feel good mentally.\u201d<\/p>\n
