Do you think you have<\/span> Ava Justin<\/span><\/a> all figured out? Sure, she\u2019s a standout award-winning actress, but there\u2019s much more to her story. Ava is already making a name for herself as a writer, producer, and director, and she\u2019s just getting started. Her most recent project, Joy of Horses<\/em>, demonstrates how far her imagination extends.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Acting may have been her first love\u2014it allows her to explore new worlds and evolve with each role\u2014but storytelling is now taking center stage. \u201cRight now, I\u2019m really into writing,\u201d Ava says. \u201cI\u2019m working on a variety of projects, including family flicks and thrillers. There\u2019s something magical about making up characters and telling stories that people can relate to.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Her curiosity for storytelling started early. As a kid, memorizing her lines wasn\u2019t enough. She wanted to know how the whole production came together. \u201cI\u2019ve been acting most of my life,\u201d Ava explains. \u201cBut I was always fascinated by what happened behind the camera. Eventually, I realized I didn\u2019t just want to act\u2014I wanted to create stories.\u201d By age 10, she was already writing her own scripts, planting the seeds for what would grow into<\/span> Ava Justin Productions.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

With her production company up and running, Ava is all about creating stories that stick. Her big moment as a filmmaker? Co-writing, producing, and executive-producing Joy of Horses<\/em>. This touching story centers on Joy, a young woman working through grief and finding strength after moving in with her grandfather. Along the way, she discovers an unexpected bond with horses that helps her heal. But when someone from her past shows up, life takes a twist, and she\u2019s caught in a love triangle that tests her resilience.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWorking on Joy of Horses<\/em> was an amazing experience,\u201d Ava says. \u201cIt\u2019s a story that feels genuine, and I think people will see themselves in it.\u201d Getting to this point wasn\u2019t easy, though. Like many in the industry, she faced challenges, including navigating Hollywood strikes and a constantly changing business. \u201cI\u2019ve had to grow thick skin and figure things out as I go,\u201d she shares. \u201cBut that\u2019s what makes it worthwhile\u2014knowing I\u2019ve built something from the ground up.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Ava thrives on growth. She\u2019s dived into every corner of filmmaking, from writing and directing to tackling post-production. That hands-on approach is paying off, with two other features; \u201cCruel Summer Weekend\u201d and \u201cTerror At 1003\u201d both currently in post-production.<\/span><\/p>\n

These days, Ava is not only focusing on filmmaking. Along the way, she has been pursuing modeling and has landed print and commercial gigs. \u201cI\u2019m really appreciative of these chances,\u201d she says. \u201cI try to appreciate everything that comes my way because nothing in life is guaranteed.\u201d Ava is constantly challenging herself to try new things, whether she\u2019s in front of the camera bringing stories to life or behind it crafting them.<\/span><\/p>\n

Her social media presence is another way she\u2019s connecting with people. With over two million followers across platforms, she\u2019s not just posting updates\u2014she\u2019s sharing her journey. Through<\/span> podcasts<\/span><\/a>, fan interactions, and little reminders to stay positive, she\u2019s using her platform for more than promotion. \u201cI love talking to people and spreading good vibes,\u201d she says. \u201cLife can be tough, so why not add a bit of kindness?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

But Ava\u2019s impact doesn\u2019t stop there. Inspired by her Kenyan-American roots, she\u2019s started a clothing line and is writing a book to fund education for kids in a Kenyan village. \u201cThis project means so much to me as the proceeds of my brand and book will go toward funding the education of those kids\u201d she shares. \u201cHelping them go to school feels like a small but meaningful way to give back.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
