President Joe Biden<\/a><\/strong>\u2018s son, Hunter Biden<\/a><\/strong>, has faced numerous challenges, including attacks from his father\u2019s political opponents over his struggles with addiction and business dealings. Despite this, Hunter<\/a> remains a devoted father to his children. He was married to his first wife, Kathleen Buhle<\/a><\/strong>, from 1993 to 2017, and they have three daughters together. In 2019, he married Melissa Cohen<\/a><\/strong>, with whom he has a son. Hunter also has a fourth daughter from a brief relationship, which led to a paternity case.<\/p>\n

Naomi King Biden Neal, 31<\/h2>\n

Hunter and Kathleen married in 1993, and their eldest daughter, Naomi<\/strong><\/a>, was born that same year. Naomi was named after Hunter\u2019s sister<\/a>, who tragically died in a car accident with his mother, Neilia<\/strong>, in 1972. Hunter and his older brother, Beau<\/a><\/strong>, were also in the crash but survived. While Naomi\u2019s grandfather, President Biden, faced off against Donald Trump<\/strong> in the 2020 election\u2014marking years of political rivalry\u2014Naomi shares a close bond with Trump\u2019s younger daughter, Tiffany<\/a><\/strong>, who is also 31.<\/p>\n

In addition to attending the University of Pennsylvania, Naomi earned a law degree from Columbia Law School. She also lived in the White House after completing her studies and celebrated her wedding<\/a> to Peter Neal<\/strong><\/a> there in November 2022.<\/p>\n

Despite Hunter\u2019s personal and public struggles, Naomi came to her dad\u2019s defense in September 2020, posting a thread on X<\/a> that offered insight into his personal life. She described him as a \u201cman filled with love, integrity, and human struggles\u201d and detailed how her father worked tirelessly to get into law school and provide for his family.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe pain he has endured would be enough to make a lesser man give up on life altogether,\u201d she wrote. \u201cBut despite the best efforts of a cruel few to destroy a private man, he is sober, happy, and as at peace as ever today because as long his family needs him, he has not lost his purpose.\u201d<\/p>\n

On Nov. 5, Naomi announced that she is expecting her first child with her husband via Instagram Stories on Election Day. In a mirror selfie, she proudly showed off her growing baby bump, adorned with a voting sticker. \u201c(we) voted,\u201d she wrote above the photo.<\/p>\n

Finnegan Biden, 24<\/h2>\n

Hunter and Kathleen had their second daughter\u00a0Finnegan<\/strong>\u00a0in 2000. Like her older sister, Finnegan also studied at UPenn, studying history and focusing on American Studies, per Insider<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>As a student, she\u2019s often been outspoken and worked to try to positively affect\u2019s her schools\u2019 policies. She revealed that she had campaigned for UPenn to extend their pass\/fail deadline in April 2020, per\u00a034th St.<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>She also had worked for her high school to change its uniform policy. \u00a0\u201cI started this campaign where all the girls came into school and surprised the faculty, which they hated, wearing t\u2013shirts saying, \u2018I\u2019m not the distraction.\u2019 That was the first time I actually saw sincere impact [from] something I did because we got rid of the dress code and had a forum at our school about it,\u201d she told 34th St.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

While Finnegan is part of a major public family and she\u2019s occasionally seen out and about<\/a> with her grandfather, she has mostly stayed out of the spotlight.<\/p>\n

Maisy Biden, 23<\/h2>\n

Kathleen gave birth to her and Hunter\u2019s youngest daughter\u00a0Maisy<\/strong>\u00a0in 2001. Like her two older sisters, Maisy also studies at the University of Pennsylvania, and the president even visited her<\/a> on campus when she had an art show in April 2023, per\u00a0<\/a>CBS News<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>Hunter and other family members also attended the event. Maisy is also a close friend of former President\u00a0Barack Obama\u2019s<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>daughter\u00a0Sasha<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not clear what Maisy is studying at UPenn, but she is an artist and often shares her work on her social media. She\u2019s shared photos of some of her artwork on Instagram<\/a>. She\u2019s also very active on TikTok<\/a>, where she has over 160,000 followers.<\/p>\n

Navy Joan Roberts, 6<\/h2>\n

After splitting from Kathleen and before marrying Melissa, Hunter fathered another daughter\u00a0Navy Joan Roberts,<\/strong>\u00a0with Lunden Roberts.\u00a0<\/strong>When Navy was born, there were some disputes as to whether Hunter was the baby\u2019s father. After a DNA test, it was revealed that Hunter was Navy\u2019s father, and he was ordered to pay child support to Lunden, per\u00a0Page Six<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Despite the settlement, Lunden has claimed that Hunter is estranged from his youngest daughter. She filed paperwork to change Navy\u2019s last name to Biden, so she could \u201cbenefit from carrying the Biden family name,\u201d according to\u00a0The New York Post.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

Although he has been ordered to pay child support and it\u2019s known that Hunter is the father of Navy, he was also ordered to report to an\u00a0Arkansas court on May 1, 2023, according to a court document obtained by PEOPLE<\/em><\/a>. Both Hunter and Lunden are required to be present. The order is in response to a \u201cmotion for contempt\u201d filed by Lunden, which accused Hunter of ignoring previous court orders in regard to the paternity ruling. The filing also asked for authorities to \u201cincarcerate\u201d or \u201csanction\u201d Hunter if he continues to allegedly not cooperate with their agreement. This is the second contempt filing Lunden has made against Hunter.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shortly after marrying Melissa in 2019, Hunter and the activist welcomed their son, Beau<\/strong>, on March 28, 2020. Named after Hunter\u2019s late brother<\/a>, who passed away from cancer in 2015, Beau is the youngest of Hunter\u2019s children and his only son. He has been seen spending time with his grandparents at family gatherings and has even been photographed in matching outfits<\/a> with his grandfather.<\/p>\n
