Microsoft\u2019s popular application went down that morning, and thousands of customers were affected. The outage confused users, and some complained that their work day had been impacted because they weren\u2019t able to load their email accounts. Now that some customers are able to use Outlook again, get the latest status update from Microsoft, here.<\/p>\n<h2>Why Is Outlook Not Working Today?<\/h2>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-3\"><a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2024\/11\/microsoft-global-outage-teams-outlook-exchange-1236186820\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-analytics-trigger=\"article-body-link\"><em>Deadline<\/em><\/a> reported that Microsoft \u201cidentified a recent change\u201d as the potential reason for the outage and that it began to \u201crevert the change.\u201d The company noted that it was \u201cinvestigating what additional actions are required,\u201d per the outlet.<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-4\">Throughout the morning of November 25, Outlook\u2019s verified X account updated customers on the issue. In response to one user, the company tweeted,\u00a0\u201cHello, we\u2019ve started to deploy a fix which is currently progressing through the affected environment. While this progresses, we\u2019re beginning manual restarts on a subset of machines that are in an unhealthy state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-5\">While responding to another user, Outlook tweeted that \u201cthe fix has reached approximately 90 percent of the affected environments and our targeted restarts continue to progress.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5348343\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5348343\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5348343 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/GettyImages-682270756_216f4f.jpeg?quality=100&amp;w=1024&amp;resize=1024%2C683\" alt=\"Microsoft Outlook's Status: Is the Email Application Working Now?\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\"\/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5348343\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">(Photo by Jaap Arriens\/NurPhoto via Getty Images)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2>Is Outlook Still Down?<\/h2>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-6\">At the time of publication, the amount of reported outages among customers had decreased from around 8,000 to 6,000 on <a href=\"https:\/\/downdetector.com\/status\/outlook\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" data-analytics-trigger=\"article-body-link\">Downdetector<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-7\">Some customers are now able to reload and download from their Outlook email accounts, but there are still many who can\u2019t even access them.<\/p>\n<h2>What Happened to Microsoft in September?<\/h2>\n<p id=\"content-paragraph-8\">In September 2024, <a href=\"https:\/\/hollywoodlife.com\/2024\/11\/25\/microsoft-outlook-down\/\" data-analytics-trigger=\"article-body-link\">Microsoft<\/a> went through a system-wide outage that impacted Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word and other Office 365 applications went down.
