Peyton Manning<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. During his 18 seasons in the NFL, he won two Super Bowl titles, and he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021. After winning Super Bowl 50 in 2016, Peyton retired from playing. Since he stopped playing, Peyton hasn\u2019t slowed down at all. He\u2019s taken part in numerous other projects, including his ESPN+ documentary series Peyton\u2019s Place.\u00a0<\/em>Perhaps most notably though, he hosted the 2022 CMA Awards<\/a> alongside country star\u00a0Luke Bryan<\/a>.\u00a0<\/strong>They did such a great job that they were both invited to host the 2023 CMA Awards<\/a> and the 2024 CMA Awards.<\/p>\n Besides an amazing quarterback (and great CMA Awards host), Peyton is also a loving husband and father. He married his wife\u00a0Ashley Thompson Manning<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>in 2001, and they had fraternal twins, Marshall Williams Manning\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0Mosley Thompson Manning <\/strong>in 2011. Before playing in the Super Bowl in 2014, the NFL Hall-of-Famer gushed about his family in an interview with PEOPLE<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>\u201cMy entire family keeps me positive and they always support me,\u201d he said. \u201cThey will be coming to town to be with me. Without them, I would not be where I am today. I am very grateful.\u201d<\/p>\n Ahead of his job hosting the CMA Awards, get to know more about Peyton\u2019s two pre-teens.<\/p>\n Peyton met Ashley while they were in college, and the pair eventually got married in 2011. After a decade of being husband and wife, the pair welcomed their twins on March 31, 2011 and became \u201cmom and dad.\u201d While both kids mostly keep private, they have accompanied their dad to some of the biggest events of his career. Marshall made headlines when his dad brought him to his postgame press conference following the 2016 AFC Championship win. He adorably hid behind his dad while he spoke to reporters, per\u00a0USA Today.<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>He was wearing his dad\u2019s number 18, while rocking Broncos colors.<\/p>\n Naturally, Marshall is a huge football fan. He was spotted<\/a> with his dad at plenty of games through the NFL playoffs in 2023. Even though his dad is one of the greats, Peyton has admitted that his son will wear jerseys for his current favorite players, like the Kansas City Chiefs\u2019\u00a0Patrick Mahomes.\u00a0<\/strong>\u201cThey don\u2019t [wear my jerseys]\u201d he said in a 2021 interview on\u00a0The Kelly Clarkson Show<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>\u201cIt\u2019s very humbling having to ski with a Chiefs jersey right next to ya, but since I\u2019m related to the kid, I feel like I have to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n When Peyton announced his retirement in 2016, he sweetly included Mosley in his speech. \u201cA week before the Super Bowl, our daughter Mosley asked me, \u2018Daddy, is this the last game?\u2019 \u2018Yes, Mosley, it\u2019s the last game of the season.\u2019 \u2018I sure do want you to win that trophy.\u2019 \u2018I do, too, Mosley. And that\u2019s what we\u2019re going to try to do,\u201d he said, per\u00a0People<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>\u201cThen she asked, \u2018Daddy, is this the last game ever?’\u201d<\/p>\n After Peyton retired, he admitted that spending time with his kids was his main focus in an interview with WISH-TV.<\/a> <\/em>\u201cThat will always be priority: to be around, and I enjoyed taking them to school, and the sports are starting out,\u201d he said. He also revealed that both kids played flag football, and their coach asked him to be an assistant coach, but he declined due to a lack of pass plays. \u201cI\u2019m gonna be a parent and be a fan,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n Like her brother, Mosley also doesn\u2019t wear her dad\u2019s jerseys when skiing.
