On Sept. 23, 2003, TV audiences went to Tree Hill and didn\u2019t leave for another 9 years. Over the course of 9 seasons, the young cast of One Tree Hill<\/em><\/a> grew up before our eyes \u2014 onscreen and offscreen. They went from teenagers to adults (particularly thanks to that season 5 time jump). One Tree Hill<\/em> came to an end in 2012 and the show\u2019s main stars have taken on new roles, had kids, and more.<\/p>\n

But the cast hasn\u2019t forgotten how they got their start. In fact, stars Sophia Bush<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and Bethany Joy Lenz<\/strong> have kept the OTH<\/em> spirit alive with their rewatch podcast Drama Queens<\/em>. And the trio also surprised fans with mini-reunion of Sophia\u2019s show Good Sam<\/em> in Mar. of 2022. In addition, the show is in the works for a reboot, with original actors Sophia Bush<\/strong>, Hilarie Burton<\/a><\/strong>, and Danneel Ackles<\/a><\/strong> serving as executive producers, according to Variety<\/a><\/em><\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chad Michael Murray<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Chad Michael Murray<\/strong><\/a>, 40, starred as Lucas Scott through season 7,\u00a0 but he did come back for an appearance in the final season in 2012. In the years since One Tree Hill<\/em>, Chad has taken on a number of notable TV roles on Star<\/em>, Agent Carter<\/em>, and more. He most recently starred as the manipulative Edgar Evernever on Riverdale. <\/em>Additionally, he\u2019s appeared in a slate of Hallmark<\/em> and Lifetime <\/em>Christmas films, including Write Before Christmas<\/em> that also starred fellow OTH<\/em> alum Torrey DeVitto<\/strong>. Chad is now married to Sarah Roemer<\/strong>, and they have two kids together.<\/p>\n

James Lafferty<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n

James Lafferty<\/strong>, 36, starred as Nathan Scott from One Tree Hill\u2019s<\/em> start to its end. After One Tree Hill<\/em>, James had a notable recurring role in the first season of Underground<\/em>. He went on to direct an episode of The Royals<\/em> season 2 and directed more episodes in season 3. He appeared in 4 episodes of Netflix\u2019s The Haunting of Hill House<\/em> and created the episodic comedy project Everyone Is Doing Great<\/em> alongside OTH<\/em> co-star Stephen Colletti<\/strong>, 34. He most recently appeared in the HBO<\/em> sports series\u00a0All American<\/em> in 2022. The actor got engaged<\/a> to actress Alexandra Park<\/strong>, 31, whom he met on the set of The Royals<\/em><\/a>, in Sept. 2020. The couple later married in 2022.<\/p>\n

Hilarie Burton<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Hilarie Burton<\/strong><\/a>, 39, played the beloved Peyton Sawyer from 2003 to 2009. After One Tree Hill<\/em>, Hilarie starred in a number of movies and had several recurring roles on shows like White Collar<\/em>, Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em>, Forever<\/em>, and Lethal Weapon<\/em>. She has also starred in a number of Lifetime and Hallmark movies. In and 2018 and 2019, she reunited with multiple OTH<\/em> co-stars in the Lifetime Christmas movies The Christmas Contract<\/em> and A Christmas Wish<\/em>. Hilarie last starred as Margot in Council of Dads<\/em> and co-hosted Friday Night In With the Morgans<\/em>. She\u2019s also had guest appearances on The Walking Dead<\/em> and Good Sam<\/em>. Hilarie married actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan<\/strong><\/a>, 55, in Oct. 2019 after dating several years and two kids together.<\/p>\n

Sophia Bush<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Sophia Bush<\/strong><\/a>, 39, played Brooke Davis through One Tree Hill\u2019s<\/em> 9-season run. She went on to star as Erin Lindsay on Chicago P.D.<\/em> for 4 seasons before leaving the show. She recently had a recurring role on Love, Victor<\/em>. Sophia voiced the role of Voyd in the 2018 Disney Pixar film Incredibles 2<\/em>. The star stepped back onto the small screen in Jan. 2022 when her CBS<\/em> show Good<\/em> Sam<\/em> premiered. Sophia has also dedicated her time to social activism<\/a> and supporting women through the Time\u2019s Up movement. She is currently the host of her own podcast, Work In Progress<\/em>.\u00a0She is in a relationship with former professional soccer player Ashlyn Harris.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bethany Joy Lenz<\/strong>, 40, starred as the beloved Haley James Scott for all 9 seasons. A year after the show ended, Bethany booked a recurring role on Dexter<\/em>. She has appeared in a number of TV shows like Grey\u2019s Anatomy<\/em>, Colony<\/em>, and more. She also played Keri Allen on the USA Network series Pearson<\/em> in 2019, which lasted for one season. Bethany has also starred in a number of Hallmark movies and released albums and EPs in the years since One Tree Hill<\/em>. She is also part of the <\/span>Drama Queens<\/span><\/em> podcast with her former castmate Sophia and previously with Hilarie, who has stepped away from hosting.<\/span><\/p>\n

Everyone loved to hate Dan Scott. Paul Johansson<\/strong>, 58, played the character perfectly over OTH\u2019s<\/em> 9 seasons. In the years after the show, Paul appeared in multiple TV shows like Mad Men<\/em>, Beauty and the Beast,<\/em> Bones<\/em>, and more. He has starred in a few TV movies as well. He played Dmitri on Van Helsing<\/em> from 2016 to 2018. His most recent gig was a guest-starring role on NCIS<\/em> in 2020.<\/p>\n

In the years since OTH<\/em>, Barbara has mostly dedicated herself to raising her three daughters: Natalie<\/strong>, Emily<\/strong>, and Alyvia Alyn Lind<\/strong>. She is currently part of the cast of the horror TV series Chucky,\u00a0<\/i>based on the Child\u2019s Play <\/em>series.<\/p>\n

After OTH<\/em>, Lee appeared in films Gone Girl<\/em> and Greyhound<\/em>. He reprised the role of Minkus in the Boy Meets World<\/em> spinoff Girl Meets World<\/em>. He also appeared in two episodes of The Walking Dead<\/em> in 2017.<\/p>\n

He notably starred as Lyle in the TV series Get Shorty<\/em> and Jason in Black Jesus.<\/em> He reunited with some of his OTH<\/em> cast members in the Lifetime movies The Christmas Contract<\/em> and A Christmas Wish<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Craig has gone on to star in a number of films, The Mark<\/em>, Widow\u2019s Point<\/em>, and Code of Honor<\/em> with Steven Seagal<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
