They started dating in 2012 after being introduced by Cheryl\u2019s Curb Your Enthusiasm<\/em> co-star Larry David<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n During an October 2024 interview with Us Weekly<\/em><\/a>, Cheryl opened up about her and Robert\u2019s marriage. She noted that, in order to have a long-term relationship, there \u201chas to be a connection.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s, like, a connection that you look at your husband or your partner and all the crazy going on around you, or you look and you check in and it\u2019s like, \u2018OK. It\u2019s going to be OK. We\u2019re going to move through this moment,’\u201d the actress explained. \u201cAnd, you know, a lot of times it\u2019s funny and you can lean over and say, \u2018This is crazy balls,\u2019 and have a moment together and then hold your head up high and go to the next thing.\u201d<\/p>\n When it comes to her husband\u2019s political career, Cheryl pointed out that people \u201chave a lot of feelings about politics, especially in Hollywood, and I don\u2019t know. The ex-spouses share four children together: Conor, Kyra, William Finbar \u201cFinn\u201d<\/strong> and Aidan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Richardson died by suicide in 2012. She was found dead at her home in Bedford, New York.<\/p>\n Robert married his first wife, Emily Ruth Black, in 1982 after they met in college at the University of Virginia School of Law.
