Throughout 2024, boxing fans couldn\u2019t contain their excitement over the match<\/a>. But the champ<\/a> has one fan who\u2019s closest to his heart: his wife, Lahika Spicer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Robin Givens<\/strong><\/a>, born November 27, 1964, was already famous when she met Mike in 1987. The gorgeous actress was the talk of the town as brainy beauty Darlene on the ABC sitcom Head of the Class.\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

The couple soon married in February 1988, but the honeymoon phase didn\u2019t last long. In an explosive 20\/20 interview<\/a> with Barbara Walters<\/strong> the following September, Robin described the marriage as \u201ctorture, pure hell, worse than anything I could possibly imagine.\u201d A month later, she filed for divorce, citing\u00a0spousal abuse and was granted a temporary restraining order.\u00a0Mike sought an annulment, accusing her of stealing millions of dollars and manipulating the public. Robin\u00a0responded by filing a $125 million libel suit for\u00a0defamation. Their divorce was finalized on\u00a0Valentine\u2019s Day in 1989.<\/p>\n

Robin, who loves to post about her life on Instagram<\/a>, would go on to expand her family in 1993 when she adopted her first son, Michael \u201cBuddy\u201d Givens<\/strong>. Four years later, in 1997, she exchanged vows with her tennis instructor, Svetozar Marinkovi\u0107<\/strong>. However, their marital bliss was short-lived as she filed for divorce only a few months later. In 1999, she welcomed her second son, William \u201cBilly\u201d Jensen<\/strong>, into the world with her former boyfriend, tennis player Murphy Jensen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Monica Turner, who was born in Washington D.C., had a chance encounter with Mike at a party hosted by Eddie Murphy in 1990 at the comedian\u2019s home in New Jersey. An instant connection formed between them, and they remained in contact over the following years.<\/p>\n

In fact, during the time when the boxer was imprisoned for charges of rape and misconduct<\/a>, Monica, the half-sister of Michael S. Steele<\/strong>, the former Lieutenant Governor of Maryland, made regular visits every two weeks to sustain their relationship, according to\u00a0The Washington<\/em> Post<\/em><\/a>. The outlet also spoke about their relationship during Mike\u2019s sentence, reporting \u201cTurner routinely put aside her arduous pre-medical course work to visit him.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple tied the knot in a private Muslim ceremony in April 1997, sharing their special day with only their closest loved ones. Despite their joyous moments of becoming parents to their son Amir<\/strong> and daughter Rayna<\/strong><\/a>, Monica found herself shouldering most of the responsibilities in caring for the children, as Mike\u2019s work commitments kept him away from home for extended periods. Mike and Lakiha Spicer<\/strong> started dating back in 2000 after Mike\u2019s promoter Don King<\/strong> introduced them to each other after one of Mike\u2019s boxing matches. At that time, Mike was 29 and Lahika only 18. The duo ended up fostering their red-hot romance and decided to tie the knot in 2009, exchanging vows in private ceremony at the La Bella Wedding Chapel at the Las Vegas Hilton.<\/p>\n

\u201cI could never really get him out of my system,\u201d Lakiha, who doesn\u2019t appear to have an Instagram, said of Mike to The New York Post<\/em> <\/a>in 2012. \u201cHe\u2019s the only person I was ever able to fall back in love with several times. Usually when I\u2019m done with someone I\u2019m over it. I\u2019d think I\u2019d have him out of my system and then we\u2019d start talking again and it was just on again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mike shares Milan<\/strong>, as well as son\u00a0Morocco, <\/strong>with Lakiha, who goes by \u201cKiki.\u201d When asked about Milan\u2019s rising career in tennis back in 2020, Mike told reporters,<\/a>\u00a0\u201cI always explain (to Milan), \u2018If you really want to do this, you talk about\u00a0[Novak] Djokovic<\/strong><\/a>, Serena Williams, this is what you have to do. Meanwhile, the boxer has four other living children: daughter Mikey\u00a0<\/strong>with ex\u00a0Kimberly Scarborough<\/strong>, daughter\u00a0Rayna and son\u00a0Amir with ex-wife\u00a0Monica, and son\u00a0Miguel\u00a0<\/strong>with ex\u00a0Sol Xochitl<\/strong>.
