Lower the heat to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and finish baking the pie for 20-22 minutes, until the edges have set but the center still has a little wobble to it.\u00a0Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. But here are a few of my top tips so it turns out perfect every time you make it!<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Can you use store-bought oatmeal cookies instead?<\/strong> It\u2019s not recommended to use them, but if you have to, choose cookies that don\u2019t have nuts, raisins, or icing on them. Pulse the cookies in a food processor or blender until they become fine crumbs. You will need about 1 \u00bd\u00a0cups of oatmeal cookie crumbs.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Don\u2019t skip the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.target.com\/p\/nestle-nido-fortificada-56-4oz\/-\/A-15083321#lnk=sametab\" data-wpel-link=\"external\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">milk powder<\/a>!<\/strong> This is an icon ingredient that sets this pie apart. It gives the filling the distinct malty flavor of the original Milk Bar Crack pie.<\/li>\n<li><strong>When Done:<\/strong> Give the pie pan a jiggle in the oven to test the doneness. If the edges don\u2019t move, but the center still moves just a touch, then it\u2019s ready! If the whole filling wobbles like it\u2019s very liquid, it needs more time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Using Corn Powder:<\/strong> While I didn\u2019t add this to my recipe, Christina Tosi, the chef who created crack pie, uses about \u00bc\u00a0cup of corn powder in the original crack pie recipe. Corn powder is different from cornstarch or cornmeal! It\u2019s freeze-dried corn kernels that have been blended into a very fine powder. You can purchase Chef Tosi\u2019s milk bar corn powder online, or any other brand of corn powder will work if you want to add it to the recipe!
