While sticking to politics, Kamala dated former San Francisco mayor Willie Brown<\/strong> in the 1990s, according to The Times<\/span><\/i><\/a>. At that time, Kamala was 29 years old and an aspiring lawyer, while Brown was 60. Their relationship reportedly lasted two years. In July 2024, The Times<\/em> released an article in which Willie shared, \u201cI think talent is what got her where she is.\u201d<\/span> He further defended his former girlfriend by noting, \u201cAnd she has been through the chairs: DA (district attorney), attorney-general, US senator and now vice-president. That\u2019s an indication that she had to be talented.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

So what?\u201d\u00a0<\/span>He added,\u00a0\u201cI have great respect for [Senator] Harris.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Douglas has been a constant support for the current vice president during her time in office with President Joe Biden<\/strong><\/a>. He continues to stand by her as they prepare for the November 2024 presidential election.<\/p>\n

At the Democratic National Convention,<\/a> Douglas spoke highly of his wife, saying, \u201cWherever she\u2019s needed, however she\u2019s needed, Kamala rises to the occasion.
