One customer shared<\/a> on X,\u00a0<\/span>\u201c@BankofAmerica Could your people release a statement asap about what is wrong with the mobile app.? Showing all my accounts with \u2013 \u2013 \u2013 balance, yet my credit card on the mobile app. has the correct balance!!!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Another user added<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>\u201cIs bank of America down! What\u2019s going on. My balance is showing 0 when I have money in there! @BankofAmerica.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Is Bank of America Down Today?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Yes, Bank of America experienced an outage. According to Downdetector<\/i><\/a>, reports of the outage began around 12:45 PM EST.<\/span><\/p>\n

What Happened to Bank of America\u2019s Online Accounts?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Customers saw their account balances reflecting zero amounts. Some users reported receiving notifications such as \u201cAccounts temporarily unavailable\u201d and \u201cSome accounts and\/or balances are temporarily unavailable.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

Additionally, CNN<\/i><\/a> reported that some Bank of America employees were also unable to log into their own online accounts.<\/span><\/p>\n

When Will Bank of America Accounts Come Back Online?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As of the time of publication, Bank of America\u2019s outage has not yet been resolved, leaving many customers still unable to access their accounts and balances.<\/p>\n

During a recent interview on CNN\u2019s<\/a> Face the Nation in August 2024 with the bank\u2019s CEO, Brian Moynihan<\/strong>, he shared, \u201cin our consumer base of 60 million customers spending every week, what you\u2019re seeing is they\u2019re spending at a rate of growth of this year over last year, for July and August so far, about 3 percent. That is half the rate it was last year at this time. And so, the consumer has slowed down. They have money in their accounts, but they\u2019re depleting a little bit. They\u2019re employed, they\u2019re earning money, but if you look at \u2014 they\u2019ve really slowed down.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
