J.D. Vance<\/strong><\/a> sparked outrage across the nation when his comments about \u201cchildless cat ladies\u201d resurfaced from a past interview. The Republican vice presidential candidate<\/a> is a father and a husband, who has spoken about his wife and children during the 2024 race to the White House. During his speech at the July 2024 Republican National Convention, J.D. revealed what his biggest achievement was in life: being a dad and giving his kids everything that he didn\u2019t have throughout his childhood.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to give my kids the things that I didn\u2019t have when I was growing up,\u201d J.D. said, before adding, \u201cAnd that\u2019s the accomplishment that I\u2019m proudest of. Now they\u2019re back at the hotel, and kids, if you\u2019re watching, Daddy loves you very much but get your butts in bed. It\u2019s 10 o\u2019clock.\u201d<\/p>\n

Who Is J.D. Vance\u2019s Wife?<\/h2>\n

J.D. met his wife, Usha Vance<\/strong><\/a>, at Yale Law School, and they tied the knot in 2014. Upon graduating from college, Usha worked as a law clerk for several federal judges. Additionally, she has been a constant presence for her husband during the 2024 presidential race, supporting him throughout speeches, interviews and appearances.<\/p>\n

Usha also defended J.D.\u2019s controversial comment about \u201cchildless cat ladies\u201d during an interview with Fox. She began her response by noting, \u201cI took a moment to look and actually see what he had said and try to understand what the context was.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBecause what he was really saying is that it can be really hard to be a parent in this country,\u201d Usha insisted. \u201cAnd sometimes, our policies are designed in a way that make it even harder.\u201d<\/p>\n
