The former NFL player is known for his 20-year career in the league, particularly with the Green Bay Packers. And as a Football Hall of Fame member, Brett has been revered as one of the most influential players. Recently, the doctor running the company pleaded guilty to taking TANF money for his own use.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Mayo Clinic,<\/a> Parkinson\u2019s Disease is a \u201cmovement disorder of the nervous system that worsens over time.\u201d Symptoms of the neurological condition gradually worsens. Symptoms include tremors in the hands or fingers, slower movement, rigid muscles, speech changes such as slurring and the loss of automatic movements in the body.<\/p>\n Parkinson\u2019s Disease cannot be cured, but certain medications may help manage symptoms, per Mayo Clinic.<\/p>\n Previously, Brett revealed that he had suffered countless head injuries while playing football. During a 2018 interview on TODAY<\/em>, the retired athlete acknowledged that he\u2019s had \u201cthree or four\u201d known concussions on the field \u2014 but Brett believed that he\u2019s actually had more.<\/p>\n \u201cBut as we\u2019re learning about concussions, there\u2019s a term that is often used in football \u2014 and maybe in other sports \u2014 that I got \u2018dinged,’\u201d Brett said at the time. \u201cAs Dr. [Bennet] Omalu, who was portrayed by Will Smith<\/strong><\/a> in the movie Concussion<\/em> has said, \u2018Dinged is a concussion.\u2019 When you have ringing of the ears, seeing stars, that\u2019s a concussion. And if that is a concussion, I\u2019ve had hundreds, maybe thousands, throughout my career, which is frightening.\u201d<\/p>\n While admitting that he \u201cabsolutely\u201d did not consider the danger of the injuries, Brett discussed the \u201cprice\u201d he\u2019d probably \u201cpay\u201d in his future like other players have.<\/p>\n \u201cYou saw older players, retired players, and they would walk with a limp.
