Sunday night football was anything but dull when the Kansas City Chiefs and the Atlanta Falcons went head to head. One week after the Falcons defeated the Philadelphia Eagles in a huge victory, Atlanta tried to get ahead of Kansas City in the last few minutes. After a tense game, the Chiefs won with a final score of 22-17.<\/p>\n
Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes<\/strong><\/a> acknowledged that he a struggled throughout the game, but the team\u2019s victory makes them 3-0 this season.<\/p>\n \u201cIt helps when you have a defense that\u2019s been in those moments before and is able to make those big plays,\u201d Patrick, 29, said after the game, per ESPN<\/a>. \u201cIt\u2019s a team game and we\u2019re winning games and I feel like we\u2019re gonna start getting better and better each and every week.\u201d<\/p>\n Since the Chiefs struggled to maintain a wider lead against the Falcons, the QB admitted that he \u2014 and the team \u2014 \u201chaven\u2019t played good\u201d over the past three games of the season.<\/p>\n \ud83d\udea8 BAD BEAT ALERT \ud83d\udea8 <\/p>\n Patrick Mahomes rushing total was anywhere from 18.5 to 19.5 yards tonight. But I\u2019ll speak \u2014 especially offensively and me, myself, I feel like I haven\u2019t played very well.\u201d<\/p>\n The two-time Super Bowl champion clarified that his frustrations with his overall performance isn\u2019t \u201ca stats thing.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI just feel like I\u2019m missing opportunities whenever they\u2019re out there and not throwing the ball in the exact spot I want it to be at,\u201d he elaborated. \u201cLuckily for me, I\u2019m not playing my best football and we\u2019re still getting wins,\u201d Mahomes said. \u201cI gotta get better to make the offense better.\u201d<\/p>\n Patrick isn\u2019t the only player who\u2019s had a few setbacks this season. His teammate and friend Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a> has also struggled, which Patrick was asked about after the most recent game.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s crazy because the respect factor teams have for Travis is unreal, and it\u2019s well deserved,\u201d Patrick noted. \u201cWe\u2019re calling a lot of plays for Travis, and it\u2019s, like, two or three (defenders) are going to him. That\u2019s the great thing about him is he wants to make an impact on the game, but he wants to win at the end of the day. I\u2019m going to do my best to keep feeding him the ball whenever he\u2019s there, whenever he\u2019s open.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\t\t<\/div>\n\n
