Michael Keaton<\/strong>, or more accurately, Michael Douglas, is ready to use his own name after more than 50 years in the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n When he started, the union already had Michael Douglas<\/strong>, the son of three-time Academy Award nominee Kirk Douglas<\/strong>, and talk show host Mike Douglas<\/strong>, who eventually went by Mike and hosted the daytime program The Mike Douglas Show<\/em> from 1961 to 1981. Since the Screen Actors Guild prohibits members from using another member\u2019s professional name, The Founder<\/em> star became Michael Keaton.<\/p>\n \u201cI was looking through\u2014I can\u2019t remember if it was a phone book,\u201d the 73-year-old\u2014who celebrates his birthday on Sept. 5\u2014recalled to PEOPLE<\/em><\/a>\u00a0in an interview published on Sept. 4. \u201cI must\u2019ve gone, \u2018I don\u2019t know, let me think of something here.\u2019 And I went, \u2018Oh, that sounds reasonable.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n But now, as a Hollywood legend, Keaton\u2014whose name appears as Michael Keaton in his latest movie, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice<\/em>\u2014wants to return to his origins, or at least incorporate them, as he plans to be credited professionally as Michael Keaton Douglas, a combination of his stage name and his real name.<\/p>\n \u201cI said, \u2018Hey, just as a warning, my credit is going to be Michael Keaton Douglas,\u2019\u201d Keaton shared about his new movie, Knox Goes Away<\/em>, which he directed. He added, \u201cIt totally got away from me.
