Simon Cowell<\/a> <\/strong>reacted to Carrie Underwood<\/strong><\/a> joining the judges\u2019 table on American Idol<\/em>. During a new interview, the 64-year-old America\u2019s Got Talent<\/em> judge weighed in on the decision to cast Carrie, 41, nearly 20 years after she won the show in 2005.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it\u2019s a good choice,\u201d Simon told E! News<\/em><\/a> in an interview published on Wednesday, September 4. \u201cCarrie, we go back a long way. I remember her audition like it was yesterday.\u201d<\/p>\n Simon then added that Carrie \u201cwas so good\u201d during her time on Idol<\/em>, and she is \u201csuch a sweet person.\u201d<\/p>\n When it comes to being a strong reality TV judge, Simon added that one just has to \u201csay how you feel\u201d in the moment.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not that difficult doing this job, I promise you,\u201d he acknowledged. \u201cWe all feel the same things, and we don\u2019t agree, thank God. Otherwise, life would be boring.
