Vanna White<\/strong> has revealed that after her over 40-year tenure on Wheel of Fortune<\/em> alongside co-host Pat Sajak<\/strong>, she initially had some fears about her chemistry with his successor, Ryan Seacrest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cI had no idea what to expect when I\u2019m used to one person for so long,\u201d the veteran TV personality and longtime game show staple said in an interview with\u00a0CBS Sunday Mornings<\/em><\/a> on Sunday, September 1.<\/p>\n White, 67, admitted she felt \u201cvery scared\u201d at first but clarified that \u201che\u2019s doing a great job.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve known Ryan for probably 20 years,\u201d she said of the 49-year-old American Idol<\/em> host. \u201cBut in the past couple of months, we\u2019ve done some traveling together for the show, and we got to know each other a little better, too.\u201d<\/p>\n Sajak, 77, announced in June 2023 that he was leaving Wheel of Fortune<\/em> after hosting the game show for 41 seasons, since 1981.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, the time has come. I\u2019ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,\u201d Sajak wrote in a statement shared on X<\/a> at the time. \u201cIt\u2019s been a wonderful ride, and I\u2019ll have more to say in the coming months. (If nothing else, it\u2019ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)\u201d<\/p>\n That same month, Sony Pictures Television, which produces the game show, announced Seacrest as his replacement, signing him to a multi-year deal to host the long-running show.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m truly humbled to be stepping into the footsteps of the legendary Pat Sajak. I can say, along with the rest of America, that it\u2019s been a privilege and pure joy to watch Pat and Vanna on our television screens for an unprecedented 40 years, making us smile every night and feel right at home with them,\u201d Seacrest said in a statement following the announcement.<\/p>\n The radio personality added, \u201cPat, I love the way you\u2019ve always celebrated the contestants and made viewers at home feel at ease. I look forward to learning everything I can from you during this transition\u2026 I can\u2019t wait to continue the tradition of spinning the wheel and working alongside the great Vanna White.\u201d<\/p>\n On June 6, White gave a heartfelt speech honoring Sajak\u2019s legacy and praising their longtime friendship in a video<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cAs much fun as we\u2019ve had on camera, those memories, milestones, and life events we shared with our families outside the studio are my favorite,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ve watched our children grow up together, we\u2019ve traveled all over the world, we\u2019ve eaten hundreds of meals together, we\u2019ve laughed, we\u2019ve cried, we\u2019ve celebrated.
