After news broke of her son Tripp Easton<\/strong> moving back to the family\u2019s home state to live with his dad, Bristol Palin<\/strong> is sharing the \u201cgut-wrenching\u201d detail of how her only son informed her of his decision.<\/p>\n \u201cHe just texted me and was like, \u2018Hey Mom, I\u2019m not coming back,\u2019\u201d Bristol\u2014daughter of Todd<\/strong> and Sarah Palin<\/strong>\u2014recalled on the Aug. 26 episode of Cheryl Burke<\/strong>\u2019s Sex, Lies, and Spray Tans<\/em> podcast.<\/p>\n Palin, who lives in Texas with her daughters Sailor Grace<\/strong>, 8, and Atlee Bay<\/strong>, 7, from her previous marriage to Dakota Meyer<\/strong>, shares her 15-year-old son Tripp with ex-fianc\u00e9 Levi Johnston<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cAt first I\u2019m like, \u2018I\u2019m coming up to Alaska. We\u2019re not doing this.\u2019 I was so mad, so mad,\u201d the mom of three, 33, admitted, sharing that Tripp used to spend a couple of weeks in Alaska with Johnston, 34, and then return to her in Texas, whereas she splits her time with her daughters 50\/50 with Meyer, 36.<\/p>\n \u201cIt still is gut-wrenching to me,\u201d the Teen Mom OG<\/em> alum explained. \u201cIt\u2019s been just Tripp and I, and then I had my girls, but it\u2019s always been Tripp and I. It\u2019s changed the dynamic of so much.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cBut it\u2019s one of those things where he\u2019s almost 16. He does need his dad. And he needs that relationship,\u201d Bristol continued. \u201cHe thinks that this is best right now, and all I can do is just hope and pray that it is what\u2019s best.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cSelfishly, I\u2019m like, I just want him with me forever. He\u2019s my best friend. My kids are my whole world,\u201d she said. \u201cBut I can\u2019t be selfish in that. He needs to strengthen that relationship, and I just need to support it.\u201d<\/p>\n Palin revealed earlier this month via Instagram that Tripp wasn\u2019t living with her in Texas as she showed her daughters getting ready to go back to school.<\/p>\n \u201cThis has been the hardest \u2018first day of school\u2019 yet with one of the biggest pieces of my heart missing,\u201d she wrote on her Instagram Story on August 14. \u201cTripp has decided to finish out high school in Alaska to be closer to his dad and our entire family.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n\n<\/blockquote>\n
