Joe Jonas<\/a><\/strong> has opened up about his divorce from estranged wife Sophie Turner<\/a><\/strong>, describing it as \u201csuch a crazy time\u201d in his life.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old singer, who is set to release his album Music For People Who Believe In Love<\/em> in October, has poured his heart into this upcoming record. While creating the album, he was going through the divorce with the 28-year-old actress, with whom he shares two daughters, Willa <\/a><\/strong>and Delphine<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The couple, who tied the knot in 2019, decided to part ways after four years of marriage. In their joint statement<\/span><\/a>, they wrote, \u201cThere are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision, and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Joe\u00a0<\/span>teased<\/span><\/a> the album\u2019s direction when he released a snippet of the song \u201cWork It Out,\u201d featuring lyrics that hint at his emotions during the split: \u201cCome on, Joe, you got so much more to be grateful for \/ Stop bein\u2019 sad \u2019cause you\u2019re makin\u2019 the room uncomfortable.\u201d<\/p>\n

In an interview with \u00a0<\/span>Billboard<\/span><\/i><\/a>, he reflected, \u201cI was going through a lot of life changes\u2026 finding out who I was as a person, father, and friend, while living under the microscope of the music industry. During such a crazy time in my life, I turned to music as an outlet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although he shares his emotional journey, Joe emphasized that he isn\u2019t looking to blame. \u201cIt was scary at times, but also freeing\u2026 I\u2019m not trying to come for anyone on this album. I\u2019m not trying to put things on blast. I have a beautiful life that I\u2019m grateful for. I\u2019ve got two beautiful kids. I\u2019m a happy person, and the music needed to reflect that\u2014 but also, the journey to get here.\u201d<\/p>\n

With deep thoughts and emotions embedded in the 13 tracks set to release on October 18, Joe hopes to convey one main message: \u201cIf this body of work helps people through what they\u2019re going through, that\u2019s all I can really wish for.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
