Earlier this year <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trendforce.com\/news\/2024\/06\/21\/news-chinas-xiaomi-and-unisoc-claim-domestic-4nm-mobile-processors-coming-soon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reports<\/a> claimed that Xiaomi and Unisoc had joined forces to co-develop a 4nm chipset and a new development suggests the first Xiaomi-branded chipset from the collaboration is set to launch in early 2025.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"inline-image\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/fdn.gsmarena.com\/imgroot\/news\/24\/08\/xiaomi-in-house-5g-chipset-rumor\/-1200\/gsmarena_001.jpg\" alt=\"Xiaomi in-house 5G chipset rumored to launch in H1 2025\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The news comes from reliable tipster <i>Yogesh Brar<\/i>, who shared some key insights into the upcoming Xiaomi chip. It will reportedly be fabbed on TSMC\u2019s 4nm N4P node and will feature a 5G modem developed by Unisoc. The SoC is expected to offer Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-level performance which was Qualcomm\u2019s flagship chip powering the high-end devices of 2021 and 2022.<\/p>\n<p>This won\u2019t be the first time Xiaomi has tried its hand in developing chipsets. Back in 2017, the brand launched its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/xiaomi_mi_5c-8439.php\">Mi 5c<\/a> smartphone featuring its own in-house <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gsmarena.com\/xiaomi_displays_its_first_ever_inhouse_chipset__surge_s1-news-23696.php\">Surge S1<\/a> chipset.
