Jon Hamm<\/strong><\/a> wants to reunite with his The Morning Show<\/em> co-star Jennifer Aniston<\/strong><\/a> for another project \u2014 a romantic comedy movie. During a recent interview with IndieWire<\/a>, the 53-year-old actor described the genre\u2019s current renaissance and why he\u2019d enjoy working with Jennifer, 55, again.<\/p>\n \u201cI have no idea what it would look like,\u201d the Mad Men<\/em> alum said about a potential movie. \u201cI think it would just have to be funny and fun, and it would let us do what we both do very well, which is be charming and funny and compelling. I certainly wouldn\u2019t say \u2018no\u2019 to that.\u201d<\/p>\n Jon also pointed to Jennifer\u2019s track record in the film genre. The former Friends<\/em> star has appeared in a wide array of projects, including Love Happens, The Break-Up<\/em> and alongside Adam Sandler<\/strong><\/a> in Just Go With It, Murder Mystery<\/em> and its sequel, Murder Mystery 2<\/em>, which Jon acknowledged during his interview.<\/p>\n \u201cShe\u2019s kind of established the Adam Sandler films that she\u2019s done, which I think have been great \u2014 those murder mysteries, those are always really fun,\u201d Jon said, before praising actors Sydney Sweeney<\/strong><\/a> and Glen Powell<\/strong><\/a> for helping the rom-com genre re-launch itself with their movie, Anyone But You<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI mean, God bless Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney for proving that it can work again,\u201d Jon added. \u201cI\u2019m glad to see that some of the [studios], streamers, and alternate folks are taking swings at the romantic comedy genre again because I feel like it is something that was overlooked for some time.\u201d<\/p>\n Jon and Jennifer played love interests in season 3<\/a> of The Morning Show<\/em>, which aired last year. Jon\u2019s character, Paul Marks, is a wealthy tech in investor who, unbeknownst to Jennifer\u2019s character, Alex Levy, wants to dismantle the news network after he acquires it. The two start dating, but Alex discovers Paul\u2019s true intentions. At the end of season 3, she ambushes the business deal by introducing an alternative: to merge with their rival network.<\/p>\n It\u2019s unclear whether or not Jon will return for the show\u2019s fourth season<\/a>. However, Alex and Paul break up in season 3, so it\u2019s unlikely.<\/p>\n Jennifer has also spoken out about working on a rom-com with Jon.
